FOOTBALL is really a simple game, far removed from such complicated scenarios as tactics, teamwork, skills and scoring ability.
In fact, it all comes down to - superstititions.
Remember when Rovers started that rocky run at Barnsley recently?
Well, the day before the trip to Oakwell, manager Tony Parkes admitted that the staff had been forced to move their dining table in the Brockhall lounge as alterations to the adjacent offices meant they could no longer see the TV set!
We all know what followed, with just one point from the next four matches, but the remedy was obvious.
And so the table was returned to its original position . . . the day before a return to winning ways at Stockport!
Told you it was a simple game.
