TEACHERS are invited to tour educational facilities at Beacon Fell Country Park.
Lancashire Countryside Service is hosting an open day at its Bowland Visitor Centre on Saturday.
Beacon Fell has three self-guided trails which link the national curriculum to the outdoors and help children use their maths, science and geography skills.
Other activities available include orienteering courses, pond dipping and scavenger hunts.
Chairman of Lancashire County Council's planning, industrial development and tourism committee, Coun George Slynn, said: "Beacon Fell Country Park is one of the most beautiful countryside areas in Lancashire, and the Bowland Visitor Centre makes full use of that.
"I urge teachers to attend this open day and see how the visitor centre can help children to learn about many things besides nature, making Beacon Fell a classroom outdoors."
The visitor centre will be open from 11am-4pm. Lancashire Countryside Service staff will be on hand to answer questions.
Teachers unable to visit on Saturday should ring the centre on 01995 640557, Wednesday to Saturday, for information on facilities available.
