STAFF at a job centre are celebrating after being named as one of the top five in the country.
Blackburn's Jobcentre has been awarded a national achievement awarded by the Government for its work in helping people into work.
Staff at the centre were singled out for their help for longer term unemployed people to get a job. Between April 1999 and the end of January the 62 staff helped more than 2,600 unemployed people into work, of whom 329 had been out of work for more than six months.
