RUNNER Roy Ashcroft is hoping to break his fundraising record in the London Marathon next month.
Roy, 50 , a member of Darwen Dashers, is trying to raise more than £500 for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
This will be his fourth - and final - marathon.
"The training for them is very hard work so I think this will be the last I'll do," said Roy, of Accrington Road, Blackburn.
Last year Roy, a production operative for Akzo Nobel in Darwen, raised £500 for Leukaemia Research with his efforts in the event.
