I WRITE with reference to your front page article of 23 March about the cycle path.
The whole project is in my view an eyesore and a complete waste of money. If the cycle path needed renovation this could have been due at far less expense.
All the wild flowers that used to grow there have been obliterated; where the tree orchids grew a load of gravel has been dumped. Now we are threatened with upside down dead trees, public art works (!) and 16 "information" points.
Totally ridiculous and unnecessary. If the council have money to spare some seats in the bus shelter would be helpful - but then - I do not suppose that councillors ever catch buses so they wouldn't know about this inconvenience.
This used to be a favourite walk of mine - not any more I am sorry to say.
