THE stumps will noon be in place for the 2000 Cricket season.
And Atherton CC will have their first training session next Wednesday (April 12).
Members should report to the club at 6.30pm when there will be a short meeting, particularly regarding the wearing of helmets for juniors.
New members (aged 9-18) are welcome.

LEIGH Public House Cricket League is set for a new season.
Formed in 1983 by the landlord of the Musketeer, there are now eight pubs competing: Avenue, Boar's Head, Bull's Head (Astley), Fir Tree, Foundry, Railway, Standard Mower and Three Crowns.
The league boasts a wide range of standards and age.
Chairman is Simon Chapman (Foundry) with secretary Roy Collier (Three Crowns) and treasurer Tony O'Malley (Bull's Head).
Each year the league hosts a testimonial evening for a Lancashire player, the latest being Ian Austin on April 13 at Hilton Park.

At the end of each season a presentation night is held for players and guests.
JUNIOR cricket coaching (U11s and U13s) begins at Golborne Sports Club on April 26 (6.30pm). It's free -- and parents are welcome.
