BATTY volunteers are needed to help with dusk-time surveys and rehabilitation of harmless, winged wonders.
The South Lancashire Bat Group is part of a nationwide network dedicated to increasing awareness and promoting the conservation and welfare of a threatened bat population.
Enthusiasm and the willingness to spare a few hours per week or month are the main requirements. You will learn about bats and put the knowledge to good use.
A Bat Group spokesman said: "Volunteers do as much or as little as they want, but training is available to whatever level individuals with sufficient time and dedication wish to progress."
Call the Angela Graham on the Bat Help Line (0161 797 4745) or call in at the May monthly meeting in Bolton's "Ye Olde Man and Scythe" pub in Churchgate at 8.30pm on Wednesday, May 3.
