IN your edition dated Thursday March 30 you included an article under the headline 'Final Curtain for sole night club".
I am extremely unhappy about the tenor of your article, suggesting that the END IS NIGH and the club "is expected to suffer a quick death".
This is very far from the case and as the attached press release indicates we have no claims to be a night club but are a popular non-profit making sports and social club which is serving the needs of the local community.
Through the efforts of member volunteers the club has survived rather bigger problems than this, but it is most unhelpful when misleading articles of this sort are published.
As a community newspaper I would expect you to understand the nature of the club, and to have had the courtesy to check out the story with us before publication.
