FYLDE'S Under 15s rugby squad are hoping for a historic treble when they take to the field next.
For the team are attempting to lift the Lancashire Cup for an astounding third successive season on Sunday (April 9).
Waterloo will be the opponents for Fylde at Vale of Lune's Lancaster ground as the team and coach Wally Green hope to emulate previous final wins over Rochdale (97/98) and Manchester (98/99) to carry of their hat-trick of successes.
His side will feature several members of the King Edward's, Lytham, squad which played magnificently to reach the semi finals of this year's Daily Mail cup competition.
But the Fylde team will be missing some key players from Hutton Grammar School who will be on tour in Italy when Sunday's final is played.
Wally said: "We have had a tremendous squad here at Fylde this season -- with more than 25 lads turning up for training and for away games.
"The team spirit here is terrific."
Fylde beat old rivals Rochdale 12-5 to take their place in Sunday's final.
Waterloo beat Preston Grasshoppers in the other semi final.
