A 31-YEAR-OLD man whose home was searched made no secret of the fact he had cannabis, Burnley magistrates heard.

Jobless Stanley Stewart admitted precisely what the substance was and that it was for his own use.

He had no previous convictions for drugs offences.

The defendant, of Burnley Road, Colne, admitted possessing cannabis and was conditionally discharged for 12 months and ordred to pay £65 costs.

The court heard police found a plastic bag containing dried cannabis matter, a cannabis plant and parts of a plant.
