PADIHAM marathon man Chris O'Brien is just £100 away from his target of £1,500, which he hopes to raise for charity.
Chris, 32, of Church Street, will run his fourth London Marathon on Sunday, April 16.
He will hand over all his sponsorship to Dreams Come True, a charity that seeks to provide lasting memories for terminally ill children and their families.
A concert held at the Lowerhouse Mills Club, Burnley, raised more than £650 towards the final total.
Local artists donated their time to perform at the concert and many local businesses donated raffle and auction gifts, including three signed Burnley FC footballs.
Chris, a health and safety officer at Nipa Laboratories, Oswaldtwistle, is hoping to beat his personal record of three hours and 30 minutes and has been running 40 miles a week.
