TINY tots from playgroups across Pendle have been rewarded for spreading a road safety message.
The youngsters took part in a poster competition received prizes from the Mayor of Pendle Councillor Edwina Sargeant at North Valley Community Centre, Colne.
The contest was organised by road safety consultant Keith Fothergill and sponsored by Silentnight Beds, of Barnoldswick.
Thirteen play groups took part in designing a safety poster with an Easter theme.
Winners were Birtwistle pre-school group, Innisfree pre-school group, and St John's Methodist Church play group, all Colne, and La Petite Ecole, Barnoldswick. They each received £50.
Runners-up Lake View play group and Nelson and Colne College play group, both Colne, received £25.
