FORMER Lancashire cricketer and chairman of Lancashire Cricket Club Jack Simmons was among those who gathered for an emotional school reunion.
Ex-pupils of All Saints' Primary School and Mount Pleasant County School, Clayton-le-Moors, attended the event, which was held at Enfield Cricket Club, Church. It was organised by former pupil of both schools, Dennis Howson, 65, and was attended by more than 200 people.
Dennis said: "It was absolutely fantastic. It was originally meant to be just for my old class from All Saints and Mount Pleasant but it snowballed and became a 1950s reunion. The place was heaving and people had come from all over the country, and about 12 former teachers attended, including one who was 91 years old.
"Everyone had a superb night and people were in tears."
A gold chain was found during the evening and anyone who lost it can call Dennis on 01254 233774.
