DRINKS were shaken not stirred and revellers were dressed to kill for a tribute to James Bond theme night at Mitton Hall.
The event featured cocktails and canapes followed by a five-course meal. And in honour of 007, party-goers had the chance to win an Aston Martin DB5 sports car for the weekend. When dinner was over, everyone headed for the casino tables playing with £30,000 of 'funny money' each -- with the person scooping the most cash winning the car.
Valerie and Andrew Stanworth, from Wiswell, came up trumps on the tables to win the car, donated by John Ashworth, one of Mitton Hall's joint owners.
Katherine Fraenzel of Mitton Hall said: "It was a fantastic night. We served Martinis and canapes before dinner, and then everyone enjoyed oysters.
