REGARDING the complaint by Benjamin Davies (Letters, March 18) that more than 95 per cent of pupils were not allowed to see Jack Straw on his visit to Moorland High School, Darwen.
The previous year the high school Grimewatch award was won by Moorland's SCAT team who had put lots of time and effort into winning, not the rest of the school.
Therefore, they were the ones who were to meet Mr Straw while the other of the 95 per cent were at work in their classes.
It seems to me that Mr Davies wants rewarding for something he did not participate in.
CAROLINE SLATER (age 12), SCAT team member, Moorland High School, Elswick Street, Darwen.
