VANDALISM at a Blackburn primary school is so frequent that staff don't know what to expect when they turn up on Mondays.
In the latest attack, seven windows were broken and paint was spattered all over the children's work.
Yet, depressingly, we are told that situation at St Mary and St Joseph's RC Primary in Bennington Street is no worse than at any other in the area.
But are our schools to be left exposed to these repeated attacks? It would seem so.
The bill across Blackburn with Darwen for installing TV cameras that would keep school vandals at bay is £1.36million whereas the government has granted just £77,000 for school security.
Tough on crime? Tough for the schools, more like.
