WHERE can you find a Viking re-enactment, pond dipping and parachuting all in one place?
The Penwortham Environment Education Centre, in Howick Cross Lane, is where all the action is.
At a special open day, from 11am to 4pm on Saturday (April 8), the public can enjoy a wide variety of activities. Children can choose from dozens of entertainments, including face painting, story telling, and paper making.
The Penwortham Environment Education Centre is a joint venture between National Grid and Lancashire Wildlife Trust.
Gordon Haycock, centre manager, said: "We are all excited about the way the centre is growing, and we want to share some of the things that are going on.
"The activities are all free."
