MORE than 100 health workers from Blackburn and Darwen met to plan a new training scheme for GP practices.
The meeting agreed what should become the training priorities for the next year.
During the next 12 months, regular training events will be held on heart disease, artificial respiration, heart massage techniques and the treatment of people needing mental health care.
Dr Neil Smith, GP and head of education for Blackburn with Darwen Primary Care Group, said: "Together we have planned training events which will lead to better quality services for the people of Blackburn with Darwen."
