A BLACKBURN nursery marked its first birthday by holding a ladybird party.
Toddlers at Schoolhouse Nursery in Meins Road had real fun and games by taking part in a ladybird head dress competition. Even the baby unit took part and had its own little winner.
Parents also came along to join in the fun and enjoy the cake and bouncy castle ball pool.
The nursery, which is part of the Nookbarn Nursery Group, was set up in Heathfield Old School by manager, Laura Knowles.
She said: " It was such a lovely day. It was amazing that every single child came dressed in a head dress. Some of them even turned up wearing them this morning!"
