THE Tony Hancock Appreciation Society has been trying to find the 24 lost radio episodes of Hancock's Half Hour for the last 25 years.
We have already recovered another 12 episodes and returned them to the BBC archives.
However, we are still looking for 24 episodes broadcast between 1954 to 1956. We have found copies of shows on reel to reel tapes and would like to see the BBC put these shows out on audio cassette/CD so that everyone can enjoy them again.
We are prepared to pay £50 for every lost show returned.
There are also 20 lost TV shows. We found an excellent TV soundtrack in a Blackpool junk shop several years ago. Therefore, any TV soundtracks will also be most welcome, and we would pay the same price for them.
