A WINE shop customer was threatened with a handgun when he chased three masked robbers.
The pursuit followed a raid on Whittaker Wines in Whittaker Lane, Prestwich, at 8.45pm on Thursday (April 6).
Three men, all wearing balaclava face masks, burst into the off-licence and grabbed £250-worth of cash and lottery scratch cards.
Two handguns were produced during the robbery and a 36-year-old woman shop assistant was left shaken by the incident.
The thieves ran off with the customer in pursuit. One of the robbers produced the weapon and threatened his pursuer who was forced to retreat.
All the offenders were white, between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 10ins tall, and all wore dark coloured face masks and clothing.
