THESE jolly hockey-stick girls have got every reason to be happy they've just been crowned Britain's best college hockey team!
The team, from Preston College, beat off stiff competition in the finals of the British College's Cup in Leicester.
Playing a round-robin tournament, a 3-2 win over Neath College, Wales, and 0-0 against South East Colleges ensured the trophy made the trip to Preston.
The last time Preston College won the British College's Cup was when current coach Judith Barton was in the team, as a student at the college.
"It's great to see them doing so well," said Jude. "They have worked really hard. Neath College won the National Championship back in March (when Preston College came fourth), so it was a real achievement to beat them.
"It means that currently we are the best college team in Britain."
College Principal Mike Clegg added: "It always makes us very proud to hear of our students doing so well.
"We already have one of the team playing for Lancashire and two playing for Great Britain.
"The hockey team have worked hard for their reward and the college is proud to see the British Colleges Cup coming to Preston."
