TEAMS from Christ Church Primary, Colne, and Barrow Primary, Whalley, came face to face in the divisional final of the Lancashire Schools' Book Quiz.
They were asked questions on set books, specialist subjects and general knowledge over six rounds and the winners, Barrow, will go to the county championships next month.
Christ Church may also still make it through, if they are one of the top three highest-scoring runners-up.
Sponsored by British Nuclear Fuels and Scholastic Publishers, the quiz is organised by the library services and all the questions were provided by children's librarians across Lancashire.
More than 112 children from schools in Burnley, Pendle and parts of the Ribble Valley battled it out during the last six months for a place in the final, held at Burnley Central Library, .
