FORMER family business chief Richard Waring takes exception with a comment within the glossy literature publicising the splendid new World of Glass visitor attraction.
This noted that "according to local folklore" a bankrupt pet shop owner had put his
redundant tropical fish stock into the Hotties section of the Sankey Canal, where they promptly thrived.
Although the shopkeeper in question is not named, Richard, of Moore Drive, Haydock, says he's angry about this "folklore" reference, and is keen to defend the man's reputation and his family's good name.
"Mr Foster was not a bankrupt," says Richard. "He was a hard-working businessman who died while sitting at his desk."
WELL, I hope this this now puts the record straight.
