MEMBERS of Greens Dance Club, in Lostock Hall, Preston, have been toe-tapping their way to success after competing in a major contest.
After taking a squad of 17 junior members to the British Isles Championships, held in Prestatyn, Wales, at the end of last month, Steve and Denise Green, of Green's Dance Club, came away smiling.
Out of more than 1,000 competitors from across the British Isles, 13 members made the grand final dance on the last night with four dancers winning their respective competitions.
Laura Jones and Natalie Ryan, both aged 10, scooped the British Isles under-12 Rock and Roll category, while Amanda Green, 14, won the under-16 solo freestyle disco competition.
Talented Amanda then went on to win the adult pairs freestyle disco competition with her partner Rachel Flynn, 16, before scooping the Tops of Pairs Freestyle Disco trophy.
Denise said: "The girls danced better than ever before and really deserved their wins.
"The atmosphere at Prestatyn was electric the whole weekend and the effort put in by all the squad and their parents definitely paid-off.
"The club is now looking forward to the European Championships."
Now the club is on the search for new members to join the squad so pop along and find out more.
