HOW I wish I was a traveller.
I could come into town and with one of my fellow travellers and set up camp unheeded and unopposed from either council or police.
I could place my caravan on one of the football pitches not caring that this is a facility provided for the benefit of the community and paid for by tax payers.
I know I will have an injunction served on me but I don't have to move until the day before it is implemented thus avoiding a fine.
The only people out of pocket will be the council and I can be happy knowing that the citizens of Lancaster are prepared to let us live free of charge while they pay out their hard-earned money.
