A CHEQUE for £400 has been presented to the Hyndburn and District British Heart Foundation.
The ladies' committee of the Royal Forest Masonic Lodge 401, based in Waddington, raised the cash throughout the past 12 months with social events including a dance and a bowling afternoon.
Mary Wood, chairman of the local branch of the charity, accepted the cheque during a ceremony at Clitheroe Conservative Club.
The charity was nominated by ladies' committee chairman Linda Nutter, whose father died of a heart attack.
