Morecambe 1 Doncaster 0
A COMBINATION of good and bad performances saw the Shrimps take their unbeaten run to nine games in their away fixture at Doncaster at the weekend.
Doncaster performed poorly as the home side ran out losers by the odd goal which came from that man Jackson again, who by contrast, led the Shrimps on what could be a powerful run-in.
The Tykes squandered two first-half chances to take the lead and found Shrimps 'keeper, Steve McIlhargey, on top form. As early as the second minute McIlhargey smothered a scuffed shot from Neil Campbell, who really should have done better.
The Shrimps created very little in the first half but cranked up a gear after the interval and saw a good chance go just wide five minutes after the re-start.
With slightly less than half an hour to go, Justin Jackson, surged through the Tykes' defences, round the 'keeper to slot home the winner.
