THE generosity of staff and customers at a Bury company has proved to be just the tonic for a hospital.
For they have raised £1,700 for the Alder Hey Children's Hospital cancer appeal.
The cash was raised by plumbing merchants Plumb Center by way of a charity raffle among customers in the plumbing and building industries.
Sales manager Colin Betts said: "I would like to thank all our colleagues in the industry for their contributions.
"It is a very worthy cause and we were delighted to help."
Plumb Center is a major supplier of plumbing and heating equipment to the region's plumbers and builders as well as the public.
