YOUNGSTERS from the Army Cadet Force traded places with young people from a performing arts school -- all for the sake of a television programme.
Tracey Clarke from Hindley Green was among those who swapped their combats and army boots for ballet slippers and tutus.
In the meantime the youngsters from the Performing Arts School in Hertfordshire, came up North to spend a week camping out on Holcombe Moor.
Trading Places, which went out on Tuesday, featured exchanges between children with very different interests.
While the youngsters from down South spent the week getting dirty on assault courses and shooting on the firing range, the usually tough youngsters attached to Hindley's Army Cadet Force, had to learn how to tap, act and try their hand at a bit of ballet.
Every morning they would study drama and dance, with normal lessons taking place in the afternoon.
