ACCRINGTON STANLEY boss John Coleman believes it's win or bust as the Reds prepare for tomorrow's trip to Stocksbridge PS.
With Witton Albion and Radcliffe Borough both winning in midweek, the pressure is now back on the Reds as the battle for promotion to the UniBond Premier Division hots up.
But though Coleman insists Stanley's destiny still remains in their own hands, he admits nothing less than a win will do.
"I expected both Witton and Radcliffe to win so I wasn't too concerned by those results. We've got to stay focused on what we have to do and the good thing is it's still in our own hands.
"But we've certainly got to win at least four out of the last five. And, without wanting to put pressure on the lads, I think we've got to win tomorrow.
"We've gone three games without winning now and it's vital that we put that right quickly to restore a bit of confidence. "And if we win at Stocksbridge I think that could be the turning point in our season."
After ending a barren spell of four and a half hours without a goal against Burscough last weekend, Coleman believes his side have the firepower to see them through.
"It's all about nerve now. We've got to try and let our football ability come to the fore. The last two games against Chorley and Burscough became a bit of a battle because both sides tried to stop us from playing. But I think we've got the firepower to overcome that."
Coleman reports no fresh injury problems.
ROSSENDALE UNITED boss Micky Graham will be keeping a close eye on events at Shawbridge this weekend as his own side bid to step up their title challenge at home to basement outfit Atherton LR.
Arch-rivals Clitheroe can do Dale a massive favour by beating League leaders Vauxhall.
And if United were to also see off Atherton then the gap at the top could be cut to just four points ahead of next weekend's promotion showdown between the top two at Dark Lane. "I think we can safely say Clitheroe's result will be one of the first we will be looking for," said Graham. "But we've just got to keep winning ourselves. This is another game which everyone expects us to win.
"But we've got to apply ourselves and make sure we come out of it with the three points."
Recent signing Dennis Hill could be set for his first start as a replacement for Jerome Fitzgerald.
And Graham will also make late checks on Vinnie Patterson, Matty Knowles, Danny Heys and Steve Cunningham.
CHORLEY boss Ken Wright is hoping to welcome back playmaker Paul Allen for his side's clash with Harrogate at Victory Park.
With Neil Mitchell sidelined by a dislocated shoulder, the Magpies were short of creativity when they crashed 1-0 to lowly Gretna in their last outing.
But Wright hopes Allen can provide the missing spark as Chorley attempt to complete a league double.
"We desperately missed Neil Mitchell's ability and creativity on the ball against Gretna. But Paul Allen is a similar type of player and, hopefully, he can give us that bit of extra quality we've been missing.
"Harrogate have done well of late. They are a big, strong side but it's another opportunity for us to get three points and get as high up the table as possible."
GREAT HARWOOD boss Denis Underwood has identified the players he believes could make the Reds a force to be reckoned with next season.
Underwood admits the Showgrounders have struggled since Christmas but he already has a hit-list of targets he wants to recruit.
"I've got a list of names I'll be contacting during the close season and if I get half of them I'll be pleased.
"We've certainly got to be better than we have been this season and my priority is to get hold of a goalscorer from somewhere."
Tomorrow, Harwood take on Nantwich at The Showground and Underwood hopes to add Andy Clarkson and Paul Curley to his squad. Meanwhile, the Reds boss has offered Rossendale manager Micky Graham some words of encouragement in their promotion battle with Vauxhall.
Last weekend, Harwood were crushed 5-0 by the league-leaders -- confirming Underwood's view that they are the best side he has seen this season -- but he still insists they can be caught.
"Vauxhall are the best team in this league and that's because of their two front men who have scored over 70 goals between them.
"But whilst it's still possible, Rossendale can't give up hope, and I'm sure Micky will be pressing that home to his players.
"Once you start getting close to promotion you only need to get a bit edgy and anything can happen."
CLITHEROE manager Steve Parry just wants that bit of luck to end his side's goalscoring drought.
But he faces a tough clash to break their four game duck -- against leaders Vauxhall.
"You do sense that the lads do feel a bit of pressure after four 1-0 defeats but they have played well and just haven't taken their chances," said the Clitheroe boss.
"We did, around December, feel we could finish runners-up but with the last few weeks, we are now looking at third or fourth. And we still have our pride to play for.
"Saturday should be a good game. Vauxhall's play suits us, they like to get the ball down, and we want the three points. If we do other teams a favour, like Rossendale, then so be it but we put ourselves first."
Parry knows Vauxhall's main threat is their strikers Young and Blundell.
"Those two are always capable of scoring goals. You can't give them one chance. We just need that bit of luck or spark in front of goal."
Parry has John Richardson and Mark Stuart unavailable while Martin Horsfield (achilles) and Carl Greenwood (calf) will have late fitness tests.
