ST HELENS Council is stepping up its campaign to attract more foster carers with a special exhibition.
As well as supplying useful information about fostering, it will give people an opportunity to win prizes including Marks and Spencer vouchers and a free personal caricature.
The exhibition will be in Church Square, St Helens, from today (Thursday, April 13) until Saturday, April 15. The council's foster team will be on hand each day between 10am and 5pm to answer questions.
Chairman of Social Services, Councillor Leon McGuire, said: "More foster carers are urgently needed in St Helens and this week sees the start of a new campaign to find more local people who are willing to help. Successful carers come from many different backgrounds and, following a recent increase in allowances, it is hoped that this will encourage more people to go into the worthwhile area of fostering."
IF you can't make the exhibition, ring Mike, Jan, Ann or Wandzia on 01744 456526 for more information and an informal chat.
