THE town's second Corporate Cup race will take place in the town centre on Wednesday, May 31.
Teams of four runners/walkers are being sought to tackle the five-kilometre course to promote health and fitness and teamwork -- and to raise money for charity.
The start time is 7.15pm, an ideal time to become involved and be home in time for supper. And with easy access into the town you can come direct from work. Wheelchair and walkers are encouraged to take part. Closing date for entries is May 24.
The event is open to runners/walkers of all levels over the age of 16. Novice runners are welcome (teams to include one female member). Results will be computerised and there will be a specially-cast medal to all finishers, plus certificates. There will be prizes for the overall winning team and the first male and female finishers.
Organised by St Helens Council's Service Promotion Section this year's event will benefit the Macmillan Cancer Relief charity.
Forms and further details are available from the Service Promotion Section on 01744 455305.
