SCOUT and guide movement members from throughout East Lancashire turned out for for the annual St George's Day parades.
In Blackburn, Balderstone Band led procession of more than 1,000 which included the band of the Air Training Corps, the parade involved beaver scouts, cub scouts, scouts, venture scouts and their leaders. They set off from the shopping centre car park, along Exchange Street and passed the saluting platform at the Town Hall before continuing to King George's Hall, where they joined in a camp fire sing song to celebrate the achievements in scouting over the past year.
In Clitheroe, more than 300 members of the scout division held their annual St George's Day parade, which was led by the 2nd Rossendale Scout and Guide Band.
The beaver scouts, cub scouts, scouts, venture scouts, brownies and leaders set off from Clitheroe Castle grounds, and paraded along Eshton Terrace, Woone Lane, Moor Lane, Castle Street, past the Market Place and arrived at St Mary Magdalene CE Church in Church Street where a service was held.
