TWO maintenance men received an extra-special gift to mark more than two decades of work at a Blackburn school.
Brian Strahan has worked as site supervisor at Beardwood High for 15 years and his assistant, Bob Boardman, has been at the Blackburn school for a decade. Both men received long-service awards from the acting head-teacher, Alan Child. The men have struggled with the recently replaced central heating boiler for many years. They were each presented with a handle mounted on a plaque from the old machine.
