I WAS very interested to read of David Coggins' sighting of the Aurora Borealis (LET, April 11).
I, too, experienced this spectacle, but I was on the Norfolk coast, near Great Yarmouth. It was a sight which I will always remember.
Firstly, the brightness of the stars and then the silver rays which turned to green and then, later, the wonderful red glow which suffused the sky.
For me it was totally unexpected and so all the more delightful.
