A millennium swim challenge to complete 2,000 lengths in the Year 2000 has won staff at Pendle Leisure Centre an honour from the NHS.
The centre won a certificate of commendation in the Health Challenge Awards, an annual NHS competition to reward groups for their work in improving people's health.
Assistant centre manager Anne Meachem said: "It's good that so many people have taken part and many of them have used the challenge to raise money for charity."
The millennium challenge is being run at public pools across Pendle throughout the year and it is not too late to join in. Swimmers clock up lengths towards the target distance on each visit to the pool.
