TWO brothers appeared before Hyndburn magistrates accused of assaulting a man they believed passed information to police.
They are accused of assaulting Andrew Myerscough and smashing furniture and fittings at his home in Craven Street, Accrington, on April 9.
Stephen Bradshaw, 24, of Craven Street, and his brother David, 25, of Rutland Street, both Accrington, are both charged with burglary and inflicting grievous bodily harm, harming a witness or juror and criminal damage.
David Bradshaw is also charged with assaulting Mr Myerscough and causing criminal damage on March 25.
He was granted bail on condition he observes a curfew and does not approach Mr Myerscough.
Stephen Bradshaw's bail, granted following an application to Burnley Crown Court last week, was extended.
