THE fate of plans by Accrington Stanley Football Club to build an all-weather pitch will be decided tomorrow.
Hyndburn Council development services committee deferred a decision when it met last month so councillors could visit the site.
Plans for an all-weather pitch include putting up a four metre high fence and four floodlights.
The club originally wanted to site the pitch at the northern end of the main ground. Residents objected, handing over a petition with 29 signatures and seven letters.
The club switched to the other end but again faced objections.
Club officials said the facility would be used by local clubs, schools and organisations and Accrington Stanley would look to employ a qualified coach to provide supervised sessions.
Hyndburn's environmental health chief has recommended refusal because it would increase noise and the floodlights would cause light pollution for nearby residents.
