CHILDREN from Chatburn CE School had a wild time with Chris Whitehead from Lancashire Wildlife Trust.
Mr Whitehead visited the school's wildlife pond, which was donated by Castle Cement, with pupils dressed as bats and insects.
They played games and spent time laying paths, putting up signs and information boards, positioning seating and planting around the pond area.
The wildlife area, which was named A Walk on the Wild Side by six-year-old pupil Joshua Wilson, is open to local people to encourage them to enjoy the wildlife. It was constructed with the help and advice of Castle Cement and the wildlife trust.
