JASON Gillespie will miss Rishton's first three games in the Transco Lancashire League after having his flight put back two weeks on the advice of the Australian Cricket Board.
A fax from the Test star's representative Kym Richardson was received by Rishton last night, revealing that he has been ordered to delay his arrival in England in order to have essential "rehab treatment" as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.
Richardson, however, stressed that Gillespie would be "able to bat and bowl at full capacity" when he eventually arrives on May 4.
"The ACB medical officer and physiotherapist have said that, due to inflammation after recent gym sessions, they have advised him to postpone his flight for two weeks to ensure the correct rehab treatment," said Rishton chairman Rod Simpson.
"It's a great pity because we are at home in two of the three games and now have to find a substitute."
