Blackburn Rovers stars are helping to give cancer the boot.
Lee Carsley, Billy McKinlay, Christian Dailly (pictured) helped to launch the Cancer Research Campaign's Starflower Appeal.
This is the second year that Rovers have been involved with the appeal and last year they helped the charity to raise £750,000 nationally.
The appeal's distinctive blue silk buttonholes are available throughout the month of May for a suggested donation of £1 at all the campaign's charity shops -- as well as many other shops and stores.
Fundraiser Denise Morgan, said: "I'm so grateful to Blackburn Rovers for supporting our Starflower Appeal again. Wearing a Starflower shows you care about cancer research and you'll be giving the gift of hope to cancer patients."
Professor Gordon McVie, Director General of the Cancer Research Campaign, said: "Cancer can be defeated and the campaign's scientists are in the forefront of that battle by providing better treatments, new drugs and earlier detection. But none of that would be possible without the support of the public. So buy a Starflower and wear it with pride."
Anyone who wants Starflower boxes for their shop or business should call the campaign's Regional office on 0800 328 0038.
