AN illegal CD copying ring has been smashed by trading standards officers following a raid on a Bury house.
Computers, CD copying equipment and a stack of illegally copied CDs were seized from a house in the Chesham Fold area. A house and a market stall in the Salford area were also targetted by Salford Trading Standards officers, the police and investigators from the Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society's Ant-Piracy Unit. A total of £150,000 worth if copying equipment and CDs were recovered from the targets
Two people from the Salford area were arrested and bailed pending further enquiries. No-one from the Bury area was arrested.
