I AM disgusted at the fact that people can get away with ruining our city by dropping litter.
I am backed up by several reasons, one of them is that the area will end up looking a dump. Every day I see more plastic bags flying through the sky than birds and no words can sum up the sight and smell of the streets. And who causes it, lazy idiots who can't be bothered to put litter in the bin.
Secondly we need action. Why are there no volunteers on street corners fining people who drop litter? We need a huge clear up! Furthermore tourists won't want to come to a city full of rubbish.
I mean would you? You can imagine them going home and saying how horrible Lancaster is. Also people pay the council to tidy up Lancaster which costs £635,000 and that sort of money could go to schools and charities.
So although not everyone would agree, I think I have shown that our city is too dirty.
