M.A.D. dogs and Englishmen Geoff West and Tony Palmer go off to the Isle of Man.
Geoff and Tony of Broadening Our Horizons charity fund-raising team are going to the island's TT circuit to raise funds for animal charity Medical Assistance Dogs.
Their aim is to complete the 37-mile circuit without stopping to recharge the battery on an "Horizon Mayan" mobility scooter which took them on charity rides from John O' Groats to Lands End and up and down Mount Snowdon. They expect it will take four and a half hours to complete the circuit which TT bike racers complete in a fraction of the time.
They will also take with them a new car "Canta" specifically designed for the disabled to replace the old blue trike.
It has four wheels and two seats with room for a wheelchair and can sustain speeds of about 45mph.
They hope to do three circuits of the TT course to the scooter's one.
Tony, of Burnley, and Geoff, of Loveclough, said firms in Burnley have come up trumps, with Althams Travel donating the cost of the crossing and Simpson's Peugeot donating a van for transport.
The friends hope to raise £1,000 for the charity and anyone wanting to give support can contact Geoff on 01706 227723 or Tony on 01282 443619.
