ROCK FM DJ Mark Kaye was suspended from the airwaves again last week -- when he cheekily gave away a prize he was told not to.
Station bosses were furious when the controversial DJ gave away £1,000 on Friday, instead of at a later date as had been planned.
But Mark was back on air yesterday afternoon after having a chat with Mike Bawden, Rock FM's programme director.
Mike said: "You get situations like this with DJs who are very creative people.
"But Mark is a big part of the radio station with a big role to play for us. That is why he is back on air."
It's not the first time Mark has courted controversy -- comments made during the Shipman trial saw the station in court for contempt and Mark suspended for a period. During the trial, the DJ was heard stating the jury were deliberating on whether Shipman was 'innocent or guilty ... as sin.'
Rock FM managing director Paul Jordan welcomed the star's return. He said: "Mark is an amazingly popular presenter who stepped out of line on this occasion. But he's admitted he was wrong and that is the end of the matter.
"It's a bit like the David Beckham and Alex Ferguson situation -- when David didn't attend training, he ended up in the stands."
