AS the maker of Halls Mentholyptus, Radcliffe company Adams Warner Lambert helps thousands of people feel better every day.
But now it has provided staff with a real tonic.
The confectionery company is celebrating after winning the prestigious national Investor in People award.
Award assessors were particularly impressed by the company's culture of openness and commitment to continuous improvement. And with the excellent relationship it enjoys with the unions represented in the factory.
The 600-strong workforce produces 30,000 tonnes of medicated sweets each year and exports 90 per cent of its output to America and Europe.
training manager Mr Andrew Rochford said: "Everyone in the company has a personal development plan and career path to follow and realises the company is interested in them. They are its most valuable asset."
He added: "Everyone is encouraged to undertake training. By investing in people we have improved motivation, communication and employee morale because everyone knows their importance."
