EXPORTS and e-commerce will come under the spotlight in Bury next week.
International traders will find out how a range of e-commerce services can help their business.
They are invited to attend the next meeting of Bolton and Bury Chamber's Export Club on Tuesday, (April 25), between 8.30am and 10.20am.
Venue for the meeting will be at the Link conference centre in Walmersley Road, Bury.
During an open forum, businesses will also respond to a request issued during a recent visit by Sir David Wright, chief executive of the new British Trade International.
He asked local importers and exporters to detail the top five issues that they wanted his new organisation to address.
At next week's meeting, the Chamber will introduce its new ChamberSign service, a Europe-wide initiative that will enable businesses to tap into the world of secure electronic commerce.
The low cost and simple to use system, which will become available from May, aims to increase business confidence in e-commerce by the creation of a European Community-wide common security infrastructure.
The Chamber's Business Link information technology specialists will also be outlining a range of other services to help local exporters and importers join the e-revolution.
Further details about the Export Club are available from Neal Massey on 0161 762 3316.
