A BURY car dealership is in the fast lane after scooping gold.
Peugeot dealers Elton Garage's parts department took a place on the Peugeot podium of excellence when the business lifted a gold award in a national assessment scheme.
The Gold Parts Performance Team Award places Elton Garage's parts department among the top 25 in the country.
This awards scheme aims to recognise and reward the crucial role played by a dealership's parts department in satisfying the customer's after sales needs.
What's more, as a reward for the dedication he has consistently demonstrated in leading his team to victory, department manager Ian Dale is off to sunny skies after winning a holiday to Portugal.
Commenting on the success, he said: "I am delighted that all the hard work undertaken by myself and my staff has been rewarded by this prestigious award.
"The Parts Performance Team Award is one of many Peugeot initiatives which goes to ensure our parts customers receive the highest possible standards of customer care."
He added: "If a customer needs a replacement part to get their car back on the road, and it isn't in stock at the dealership, we guarantee that it will be delivered from the Peugeot parts centre by 8am the next working day as long as it was ordered by 5pm, Monday to Friday." Elton Garage dealer principal David Cowan said: "It is quite an achievement to have won the gold award in a national competition which places our parts department within the top 25 dealerships in the UK -- a great feat when you consider that there are more than 370 dealerships within the Peugeot UK network."
Mr Cowan continued: "Ian is a typical Elton Garage team member in that he is totally driven and a naturally high achiever.
"We employ a very high calibre of staff here who are committed to customer care and attaining their goals and it is tremendous that his commitment has been rewarded."
