INTERNATIONAL Labour Day, still more often known as "May Day", will be celebrated in Lancaster on Saturday April 29.
The theme for this year is "End Low Pay Now!"
The day starts at 10.30am with an assembly in Thurnham Street car park. The march commences at 11am led by the world famous "French Quarter Band".
At 12pm there will be a rally in Market Square.
Councillor Brian Penney, said, "International Labour Day is the annual special occasion when ordinary working class men and women get a chance to protest about the injustices and unfairness in our society."
